a couple of years ago I had the chance to read Michael Pollan's book " Detective in the supermarket" in the it is shown how the manipulation of scientific reports to the goodness or wickedness of certain foods, is given by the multinational Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Agricultural, who according to their simple economic interests manipulate the results published by the American FDA and hence the world public opinion. That science
manipulated is something there is no doubt.
That human beings are more peaceful in our minds if something has the backing of "science", either.
